The voting process for the 2025 National Patriot Award, which began on February 12, has officially ended on March 12, 2025. This marks the conclusion of a historic democratic exercise where Nigerians from all walks of life participated in electing the nation’s most deserving patriots for outstanding service, leadership, and national impact.
The Council for National Patriot Award Honors and Recognition had earlier, on January 15, 2025, called on citizens and patriots across Nigeria to nominate their most outstanding nationalists for various categories. The nomination process, which was widely publicized across major media houses, led to a robust and transparent voting process, culminating in a final list of honorees elected by the Nigerian people.
National Patriot Award Ceremony Set for May 30 in Abuja
With the voting process now concluded, all eyes turn to the National Patriot Award Ceremony, scheduled to hold on May 30, 2025, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja. The grand event will bring together national leaders, policymakers, professionals, and distinguished citizens to honor individuals who have earned the trust and votes of the Nigerian people through their contributions to national development.
This year’s award categories celebrate governance, security, human capital development, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, youth engagement, and national service.
