Abuja, Nigeria – Some of Nigeria’s most distinguished leaders and nation-builders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, business mogul Aliko Dangote, AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina, and WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, are set to be honored at the prestigious National Patriot Recognition Awards on April 11, 2025, at the Yar’Adua Centre, FCT Abuja.
The National Patriot Award recognizes individuals who have made remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s unity, economic growth, and national development. This year’s edition will also pay a posthumous tribute to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, honoring his legacy of selfless leadership and commitment to national peace and progress.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State will also be among the honorees, acknowledged for his efforts in governance, economic transformation, and fostering unity in the Niger Delta region.
The event will bring together key stakeholders from government, business, and civil society to celebrate these trailblazers whose impact has shaped Nigeria’s socio-economic landscape. With a night of honor, culture, and entertainment, the National Patriot Award aims to inspire the next generation of leaders to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and service to the nation.
