Kwankwaso Criticizes APC for Losing Focus Amid Hardship, Calls for Change in 2027
Rabiu Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), stated on Thursday that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost focus and must be voted out in 2027. Kwankwaso made this remark while welcoming defectors from the APC in Dala Local Government, Kano, to the NNPP.
The 2023 NNPP presidential candidate urged Nigerians to unite behind his party to achieve the change they desire, especially given the widespread hardship under the APC-led federal government. He praised the achievements of the Kano State NNPP administration, led by Governor Abba Yusuf, in infrastructure and human development.
Kwankwaso emphasized the need for Nigerians, particularly those in the North, to reconsider their political affiliations and take control of their future by supporting the NNPP for a better Nigeria. He welcomed over 960 new NNPP members from Dala, stating that they had realized their mistakes and joined the movement for change.
Alhaji Sabiu Maialawayyo, former chairman of APC in Dala, expressed gratitude to Kwankwaso for accepting them into the NNPP and promised to work towards the party’s progress. He confidently predicted that Kwankwaso would secure victory in the 2027 presidential election.
