Former Taraba Governor Darius Ishaku was arraigned on Monday before the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja, facing charges related to the alleged misappropriation of N27 billion in state funds. Alongside a former permanent secretary, Bello Yero, the two are accused by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of criminal breach of trust and conspiracy. The court has adjourned the case to October 3, 2024, for a hearing on their bail applications, and the defendants have been remanded in EFCC custody.
