The Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) has initiated a fundraising campaign aiming to raise ₦2.5 billion to combat severe hunger and malnutrition across the country. President Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga warned that without urgent action, 31.5 million Nigerians are at risk of hunger, driven by conflict, climate change, and inflation. The fundraiser, themed “Keeping Humanity Alive,” will kick off on September 28, 2024, and will focus on providing food, clean water, and sanitation services to those most affected.
