The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has attributed the party’s victory in the Edo State election to the collaboration of all political stakeholders involved. He noted that the party successfully addressed the political challenges stemming from the primary election that selected Governor-elect Monday Okpebholo.
In an interview with Arise TV, Morka highlighted the crucial roles played by President Bola Tinubu, National Chairman Umar Ganduje, and the National Working Committee in securing the recent win.
He explained that despite the tensions and contradictions often associated with party primaries, the APC managed to unify its members once a candidate was chosen. “After the primaries, we saw all interests and leaders coming together to support Okpebholo, even those who initially opposed him,” Morka stated.
He dismissed any claims of interference from political godfathers in Okpebholo’s governance, emphasizing the party’s commitment to allowing the new governor to lead without external influence. “We want him to succeed and govern for the people’s benefit, free from any individual’s control,” Morka asserted.
