Bobrisky Responds as Falana, Prisons CG, Others Remain Silent on VeryDarkMan’s Audio
Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has addressed a viral audio recording in which he allegedly claimed to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ₦15 million. The recording was released by influencer Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, and also included accusations against human rights lawyer Femi Falana and the Controller General of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa.
The EFCC responded by stating that an investigation has been launched and both Bobrisky and Otse have been invited for questioning. Bobrisky, however, dismissed the claims in an Instagram post, calling the audio fake and asserting that he never paid any bribe to the EFCC. He maintained that he served his full prison term and urged the public to disregard the false information.
Bobrisky had previously been sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse and was released in August.
