In anticipation of the Nigeria Youth Stakeholders Conversation 3.0, a pre-event media parley was organized to shed light on the upcoming digital economy transition event. The event is being organized by Nigeria Youth in Politics in collaboration with Wafaa Foundation. During the media briefing, Blessing Oyefeso, the Convener of the Nigeria Youth Stakeholders Conversation, urged the government and stakeholders to harness the talents and skills of Nigerian youth for sustainable development.
Oyefeso emphasized that Nigeria possesses the potential to advance its social economy and achieve sustainable development. He stated, “The Nigeria Youth Stakeholders Conversation 3.0, scheduled for August 27, aims to promote digital economy transition, amplify Nigeria’s global competitiveness in the digital economy, and achieve sustainable growth.
“Adding to this, Mr. Olufowobi Desmond, President of Nigeria Nexus and co-convener of NYSConversation 3.0, highlighted that the event is designed to address the pressing issue of cybercrime in Nigeria. “The conversation will explore how to harness the strengths and talents of Nigerian youth to tackle our national economic challenges,” Desmond said. He further noted that the event would examine the current global economic realities and discuss how to successfully transition Nigeria’s economy to prosperity using Information and Communication Technology.
Desmond also highlighted the key guests expected to grace the occasion, noting that the event targets relevant stakeholders such as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Capital Market, Senator Osita Izunaso, the Hon. Minister of State for Youth and Development, Olawande Ayodele, the Director-General of NITDA, Kachifu Inuwa, and Amb. Sowemimo Abiodun, Founder and CEO of Cyberpedia. The event aims to bring together these stakeholders to chart a way forward for Nigeria in the digital economic ecosystem. Other notable attendees include Adamu Garba, Group Chairman of IPI Group of Companies, among others.
