Recall that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had slated April 20th for the Ondo State gubernatorial primaries, chaired by His Excellency Usman Ododo, the executive governor of Kogi State. The party opted for direct primaries across the 203 wards in the state, with 16 aspirants vying for the position. The exercise concluded with a rerun in certain areas of Ondo South, notably Okitipupa. Governor Usman Ododo declared the election’s victor at the state collation center in Akure in the early hours of Monday, April 22nd.
